There is a huge movement afoot because women of color around the world have decided to stop straightening their hair with harsh chemicals, and instead dawn their naturally curly and kinky hair. In doing so, they have defied society’s posturing that has been dictated by European standards of beauty for hundreds of years.  In the process of going natural, women of color have been introduced to their own natural, kinky hair.  Hair they never knew. Supernatural: The Play captures the essence of hair journeys that women make around the world as they come terms with their hair.
